Lamentations 3:22-23
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Some mornings, it feels like the weight of yesterday is still sitting on your chest. The worries you carried to bed wake up right alongside you, and before you’ve even had your coffee, the day feels too heavy to hold.
But then there’s this promise—Lamentations 3:22-23. A reminder that no matter how overwhelming life gets, God’s love doesn’t run out. His mercies don’t have a limit. And best of all, they’re brand new every single morning.
Think about that for a second. Every morning, God hits the reset button. Every sunrise comes with fresh grace for the day ahead. Yesterday’s mistakes, yesterday’s shortcomings, yesterday’s heartaches—they don’t get to define today.
And here’s the kicker: God’s mercies don’t just arrive quietly. Sometimes they pour in through unexpected places—through a kind word, a helping hand, or a friend who shows up just when you need them most. His faithfulness is woven into the fabric of our days, whether we see it or not.
So, if you’re waking up today with a heavy heart, know this: God’s love hasn’t gone anywhere. His mercies are already here, waiting for you to take the next step. And if you’re feeling strong today, maybe you’re someone’s answered prayer. Maybe you’re the mercy God is sending to someone else.
Today’s Reflection:
Where have you seen God’s mercies show up in your life recently? Who might need to experience His faithfulness through your kindness today?
A Prayer for Today:
Lord, thank You for Your steadfast love and unending mercies. Help me to see Your faithfulness in the small moments of my day and to trust that You are always working, even when I can’t see the full picture. Show me how to be Your hands and feet, bringing Your mercy to those who need it most. Amen.
