Daily Devotional: Strength in Surrender

“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9

As we step into this day, it’s easy to feel the weight of expectations—the pressure to be strong, capable, and self-sufficient. The world tells us that strength is found in independence, but Scripture offers a countercultural truth: real strength is found in surrender.

God’s power is not hindered by our limitations; it is magnified through them. When we bring our weaknesses, fears, and failures to Him, He meets us with grace that is more than enough. It is in the moments when we feel inadequate that His strength carries us forward, reminding us that we are never alone.

Today, let go of the need to have it all together. Instead, lean into the sufficiency of His grace. Trust that His power is at work in your life, even in the areas where you feel weakest.

Prayer:
Lord, I come to You today, acknowledging my weaknesses and surrendering my burdens. Thank You for Your grace, which is always enough. Help me to rely on Your strength and not my own, and to trust that You are working in every situation for my good and Your glory. Amen.

Reflection:
What area of your life do you feel weakest in today? How can you trust God’s grace to sustain you and show His strength through your surrender?
