Daily Devotional: The Morning That Changed Everything

“He is not here — He has risen, just as He said.”
— Matthew 28:6

It was early morning. The world was still waking up, the air heavy with the grief of Friday’s events. A group of women approached the tomb, their hearts weighed down by sorrow and their hands full of spices. They were ready to say goodbye. Ready to face the finality of death.

But then they saw it—the stone was rolled away.

And everything changed.

An angel greeted them with the most earth-shattering news humanity had ever heard: “He is not here. He has risen, just as He said.”

The grave was empty. Death defeated. Hope restored.

What Easter Morning Means for Us

Easter is the ultimate reminder that God always keeps His promises. Jesus said He would rise, and He did. He said death wouldn’t have the final word, and He proved it.

This morning, as you celebrate Easter, let this truth sink in: the resurrection isn’t just a historical event—it’s a present reality. The power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive and active in your life today.

No matter how hopeless a situation seems, no matter how heavy the darkness feels, no matter how sealed the tomb appears—God is still rolling stones away. He is still bringing life out of death, hope out of despair, and victory out of defeat.

Reflection:
What are the “sealed tombs” in your life right now? Where do you need to see God’s resurrection power at work?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of Easter morning—the day that changed everything. Thank You for the reminder that death does not have the final word, and that Your promises are true. Help me to trust You in the areas of my life that feel hopeless, and to live in the victory and joy of Your resurrection. Amen.

Today is not just another Sunday. It’s the day hope became unshakable. It’s the day death lost its grip. Celebrate the resurrection, and let its power transform your life. He is risen—He is risen indeed!
