What do you do with a life that defies its own odds?
I shouldn’t be here.
Now, don’t read that as dark or dramatic—it’s not. It’s actually the brightest truth I can say.
When I look back at the chapters that should have been the end—
the business that fell apart,
the relationships that cracked wide open,
the losses that piled up so high I thought they’d crush me—
I don’t see the story of someone who had it all figured out.
I see the story of someone who was carried.
The Kind of Wonder That Stops You in Your Tracks
I think about that word sometimes. Wonder.
Not the kind of wonder that comes when everything is perfect. Not the kind that’s easy to explain.
I’m talking about the kind of wonder that shows up in the middle of the mess. The kind that doesn’t make sense. The kind that leaves you shaking your head because you know it wasn’t you who pulled yourself through.
It’s the wonder of a life that has scars—and yet, somehow, you’re still standing.
It’s Wednesday morning. You’ve got coffee in your hand and breath in your lungs. You’re still here. You’ve still got something to say.
That’s wonder.
✝️ God Doesn’t Care About Odds
If you’re looking for a God who makes sense, I’ll warn you now—you won’t find Him in the Bible.
The whole story of Scripture is one improbability after another.
A barren woman becomes the mother of nations.
A shepherd boy takes down a giant and becomes a king.
A man sold into slavery saves the very people who betrayed him.
A crucified carpenter rises from the dead and changes everything.
God doesn’t seem impressed by odds.
He seems to delight in showing up when human logic has run out.
And here’s the thing: that’s not just ancient history. That’s your story, too.
The part where you shouldn’t have made it—but you did.
The part where the math didn’t add up—but somehow, you’re still here.
The part where the door slammed shut, but a window opened you didn’t even know existed.
That’s not luck. That’s not coincidence. That’s not your own brilliance finally kicking in.
That’s grace.
🔥 What Do You Do With Grace?
Here’s what I’ve learned about wonder:
You can’t earn it. You can’t manufacture it.
You can only receive it.
And receiving it means looking back at your life and calling it what it is.
Grace.
Unearned. Unexplainable. Undeniable.
The kind of grace that fills doctors with wonder.
The kind of grace that fills you with wonder when you finally stop trying to explain it away.
💡 Your Wednesday Reminder
Let’s be honest—Wednesday isn’t exactly the most glamorous day of the week.
It’s not the fresh start of Monday. It’s not the finish line of Friday. It’s just…Wednesday.
But here’s the thing: wonder lives in the middle, too.
So today, don’t focus on what’s still broken. Don’t obsess over what’s unresolved.
Take a moment to look at what’s still standing.
Look at you.
Still here. Still breathing. Still carrying something the odds said you’d lose a long time ago.
That’s wonder.
And it didn’t come from you.
It came from the One who’s been carrying you all along—the same One who carried you through every chapter you thought would be your last.
Doctors came from distant cities just to see her.
Maybe today, someone needs to look at you.
The one who shouldn’t still be here.
The one who is.
The one who is filled with wonder.
Happy Wednesday.
You’re still here.
And that’s everything.
