There’s something about mornings, isn’t there? The stillness before the world wakes up. The first light slipping through the curtains. The sense that maybe, just maybe, today can be different.
Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us that this hope isn’t just wishful thinking. It’s a promise.
God’s compassions are new every morning.
Not recycled. Not rationed. Not dependent on your performance the day before.
New.
Every single day, God meets you with fresh mercy. The kind of mercy that doesn’t keep score. The kind that doesn’t remind you of yesterday’s failures or hold you hostage to last week’s mistakes.
It’s a clean slate. A do-over. A chance to start again.
And it’s not because you’ve earned it. It’s not because you’ve finally figured everything out. It’s because of His great love.
What Does This Mean for You Today?
It means you don’t have to carry yesterday’s weight into today.
The unfinished to-do list? It can wait.
The words you wish you could take back? They don’t define you.
The mistakes that feel like they’re written in permanent ink? God’s mercy is the eraser.
You are not consumed.
Whatever is weighing on you—whatever feels too heavy to carry—God’s love is greater. His faithfulness is unshakable. His compassion is inexhaustible.
A Fresh Start
What if you approached today like it was a gift?
What if you let go of the guilt, the shame, and the endless striving? What if, instead of trying to “fix” yourself or prove your worth, you simply rested in the truth of God’s love?
Because here’s the thing: God’s faithfulness doesn’t depend on you. It doesn’t rise and fall with your performance. It doesn’t waver when you do.

Great is His faithfulness.

Lord,
Thank You for Your great love. Thank You for mercies that never run out. Thank You for faithfulness that doesn’t depend on me.
Help me to let go of yesterday’s burdens and walk into today with open hands. Help me to trust that Your compassion is enough for whatever I face.
Let me live this day with gratitude, grace, and a heart that reflects Your love.
