Lamentations 3:22-23 “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”


Some weekends restore you.

And some weekends just remind you of everything you are still carrying.

Maybe this was one of those weekends. Maybe the quiet hit harder than you expected. Maybe the rest you were supposed to find never quite arrived. Maybe Sunday evening felt less like peace and more like pressure โ€” the week already knocking before you were ready to answer.

That is an honest place to start a Monday.


Here is what Jeremiah knew that we keep forgetting:

The mercies do not wait for you to feel ready.

They do not accumulate over the weekend and deposit on Friday. They do not skip the hard mornings or show up late because you stayed up too long or went to bed with too much unresolved.

They are new this morning.

Not last Monday’s mercy carried forward. Not a reserve from a better season. New. Fresh. Specific to today. Specific to you โ€” right now, exactly as you are, carrying exactly what you are carrying.


God’s faithfulness is not reactive.

It does not respond to your performance. It does not reward your best weekends and withhold on your hardest ones.

It simply is.

Every morning. Without fail. Without condition.

That means Monday is not a fresh start you have to earn.

It is a fresh start you have already been given.


Before the day takes over โ€” sit with this:

You are not behind. You are not disqualified. You are not too tired, too distracted, or too far from where you thought you would be by now.

You are exactly where mercy found you this morning.

And that is enough to get up.


Prayer:

Lord, I do not always come to Monday ready. Some mornings the weight is real and the rest was not enough. But You already knew that when You made this morning. Thank You for mercies that do not require me to have it together first. I receive today as a gift โ€” not a test I have to pass. Help me move through this week with the confidence of a man who knows he is covered. Amen.


His mercies are new every morning. Even this one. โ˜•โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ
